We are delighted to be recruiting for an Assistant Director of Sales to join the hotel as part of the senior management team. The Assistant Director of Sales is part of the senior management team with a key role in supporting the Director of Sales in developing and executing the overall sales strategy to drive revenue growth. You will take ownership of key market segments, primarily MICE along with corporate, transient, business group and luxury leisure, with a focus on identifying new business opportunities and enhancing relationships with clients already booking us. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring exceptional guest experiences while maximising revenues.
In this role you will:
- Develop and execute a strategic sales plan for key market segments to achieve and exceed revenue targets
- Actively source and convert new business opportunities through prospecting, networking sales calls and industry events
- Manage and grow a portfolio of key accounts, building long term partnerships with corporate clients, agencies and event planners
- Grow and nurture long term relationships with luxury travel advisors and consortia
Essential Criteria:
- 3+ years proven experience in hotel sales (MICE segment preferred)
- Experience in Assistant Director of Sales, Senior Sales Manager, or similar leadership role is highly desirable
- Demonstrated ability to manage and mentor team members, with scope to assume direct line management responsibility
- Strong negotiation, communication, relationship building and presentation skills
- Professional, proactive and organised
- Available for international travel
- Driving license and access to car
