About The Role: As a Warehouse Operative at Premier Foods Wholesale, you’ll play a key part in keeping our fast‑moving wholesale operation running smoothly through the night. Working 10pm–7am, you’ll be responsible for accurately picking, processing, and preparing fresh‑produce orders to meet strict loading and dispatch times. This is a hands‑on, detail‑driven role where accuracy, pace, and teamwork matter. You’ll work closely with colleagues across the warehouse to ensure every order leaves on time and to the highest standard. Experience in a wholesale or distribution environment is highly beneficial.
Location: New Covent Market, London. Please note: As this is a night role, interviews will take place between 2am–4am daily. Candidates must confirm they are available to interview during these hours.
Your Key Responsibilities as a Warehouse Operative will be:
- Delivering a first class service to all our customers, external and internal.
- Conduct picking and packing operations to fulfil customer orders accurately.
- Assisting with stock rotation and monitoring stock levels and expired stock.
- Assist with inventory counts and stock replenishment as required.
- Maintaining the overall cleanliness of the unit.
- Undertaking other duties requested by the line manager - for which full training or full explanation will be given.
What We Are Looking For:
- Experience in warehouse or wholesale operations (minimum 1 year).
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to work at pace.
- Physical capability to lift, move, and handle stock throughout the shift.
- A proactive, reliable, team‑focused approach.
- Good communication skills and the ability to problem‑solve under pressure.
- A Forklift Licence is preferred but not essential.
