We are looking for two highly organised and proactive Transport Administrators / Coordinators to join our Transport team at TMP. These roles are key to ensuring the smooth, efficient, and compliant running of daily transport operations. You will act as a central link between drivers, warehouse teams, and customer service, ensuring deliveries are executed on time, issues are managed effectively, and communication remains clear and consistent throughout the operation. These are fast-paced, hands-on operational roles where no two days are the same, and strong organisation and communication skills are essential.
Responsibilities
- Despatching drivers in line with daily transport plans and operational requirements
- Briefing drivers prior to departure, ensuring clarity on routes, schedules, and expectations
- Monitoring live deliveries and supporting with delays, breakdowns, or route changes
- Coordinating recoveries, re-routes, and additional delivery requirements where needed
- Completing accurate driver debriefs and capturing operational feedback
- Managing clear and accurate shift handovers between teams
- Maintaining up-to-date transport records and system accuracy at all times
- Communicating proactively with Customer Service regarding delays, ETAs, and service impacts
- Supporting route efficiency and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with transport procedures, company standards, and health & safety requirements
- Building strong working relationships with drivers to support performance and accountability
Qualifications
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail
- Confident working in a fast-paced, time-critical environment
- Strong communicators, able to engage effectively with drivers and internal teams
- Calm under pressure and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Proactive problem-solvers who take ownership of issues
- Competent with systems and accurate data entry
- Previous experience in Transport, Logistics, or a similar operational/dispatch environment is essential
- A Category C (Cat C) driving licence is desirable but not required
