Premier Foods Wholesale is seeking a HR Administrator to join our established team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated HR professional to contribute to a thriving business in the food wholesale sector, providing comprehensive administrative support across all areas of the HR function.

About the Role

Reporting to the Group Head of HR, the HR Administrator will be responsible for maintaining accurate employee records, supporting the full employee lifecycle, and acting as a reliable first point of contact for HR-related enquiries. The role is fully office-based and forms an integral part of the day-to-day HR operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintaining and updating employee records and HR information systems with accuracy and confidentiality
  • Supporting end-to-end recruitment processes, including coordinating interviews and managing onboarding documentation
  • Assisting with monthly payroll preparation and ensuring all data is complete and accurate
  • Serving as a first point of contact for employee and manager HR queries, escalating where appropriate
  • Supporting absence management processes, including monitoring, recording, and producing management reports
  • Preparing HR correspondence including offer letters, contracts of employment, and reference letters
  • Coordinating training and development activities in line with business requirements
  • Ensuring compliance with HR policies, procedures, and relevant employment legislation
  • Providing general administrative support to the wider HR team as required

Person Specification

Essential: Strong organisational and time management skills, with excellent attention to detail

Essential: Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook

Essential: High degree of integrity and ability to manage sensitive information with discretion

Desirable: CIPD Level 3 qualification or above, or working towards
