About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced

Chef to be a part of our busy kitchen team.

This is a 160 seat Restaurant / Coffee Shop within the Fenwick retail store of the Royal Victoria Centre serving Classic Seasonal British Cuisine & Main Course Salads.

From Eggs Royal to Fully Loaded Burger to Beetroot Salad w Za’Atar Spice.

In addition, Cakes, Brownies and Pastries and lighter bites to accompany a coffee or a more elaborate Signature Afternoon Tea.

Working Hours - 0 hour contract covering summer Holidays, Monday to Sunday availability needed.

Your key responsibilities as a Chef will be

  • Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes in line with our food standards and style.
  • Contribute creative menu ideas to the Sous Chef and Head Chef.
  • Follow weekly rotational menus, ensuring all menu items are prepared consistently.
  • Support the Sous Chef in supervising, coaching and developing the kitchen team.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and efficient kitchen environment at all times.
  • Ensure compliance with all food safety, health & safety, COSHH and fire regulations.
  • Assist with stock control, reducing wastage and working within agreed food cost budgets.
  • Complete accurate month-end stock takes in a timely manner.
  • Lead by example, promoting teamwork, professionalism and mutual respect within the kitchen.
