About the Role

We’re seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to be a part of our busy kitchen team. You’ll help deliver our Travel menus fresh each day, working across both hot and cold production. You’ll follow clear recipes and specifications to ensure every dish is consistent, accurate, and meets our customers’ expectations. You’ll complete delegated tasks from the senior kitchen team, maintain strong food safety standards (Level 2 minimum), and work closely with the packing team to keep our daily operation running smoothly and on time.

Your key responsibilities as a Chef de Partie will be:

  • Prepare, cook, and present food according to company recipes, specifications, and client requirements.
  • Support the Sous Chef in ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of the kitchen operation.
  • Ensure all preparation and production tasks are completed accurately and on time to meet operational deadlines.
  • Maintain excellent communication with the packing and operations teams to ensure orders are completed correctly and dispatched on time.
  • Monitor food quality throughout the preparation and cooking process and report any issues to the Sous Chef immediately.
  • Ensure all food is correctly labelled, portioned, covered, and stored in line with company procedures and food safety standards.
  • Be fully familiar with all menus, recipes, allergens, and production requirements within the Travel Department.
  • Maintain a good understanding of the overall kitchen and operational workflow.
  • Support with stock rotation (FIFO), stock organisation, and reporting shortages to the Sous Chef.
  • Assist with receiving and checking deliveries when required.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation within all kitchen areas.
  • Follow all HACCP, food safety, health & safety, and company procedures at all times.
  • Support junior team members and assist with maintaining a positive and professional working environment.
  • Be flexible and willing to support different sections and operational requirements as needed.

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef within a fast-paced catering or hospitality environment.
  • Good understanding of food preparation, cooking techniques, and kitchen operations.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight production deadlines.
  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
  • Flexible, reliable, and proactive attitude.
  • Experience within airline, or large-scale catering operations is desirable.
