About The Role
As a Kitchen Porter, you will play a vital role in keeping the kitchen and back-of-house areas running smoothly. You’ll be responsible for maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation, ensuring chefs have the equipment they need ready to use. This role is fast-paced and hands-on, requiring excellent attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently under pressure.

This is a 10-month Contract (excluding the months of July & August)
30 hours (8:30am - 15:00pm)
Your Key Responsibilities will be :
- Wash crockery, cutlery, pots, pans, and kitchen utensils to a high standard. Basic Food Prep such as packing and preparing sandwiches
- Keep all kitchen and wash-up areas clean, tidy, and organised at all times.
- Ensure kitchen equipment is cleaned, maintained, and ready for use by chefs. Support Chefs in basic Kitchen tasks
- Support the goods-in process, including checking and storing deliveries hygienically and taking food temperatures.
- Maintain clean, organised food and equipment storage areas.
- Carry out daily cleaning tasks according to the cleaning schedule.
- Use correct chemicals safely in line with COSHH guidelines.
- Remove and dispose of kitchen rubbish, ensuring bins are kept clean and compacted.
- Sweep and mop all kitchen floors and wipe down walls daily.
- Ensure all areas are fully cleaned and ready for the next service.
- Carry out any other reasonable tasks as requested by management.
What We Are Looking For:
- Strong organisational skills and ability to prioritise tasks. The above list of duties are non-exhaustive, and this role may be required to perform additional tasks as necessary to meet the needs of the department and the Company.
- Works well under pressure and at speed, preventing backlogs.
- Excellent attention to detail with high standards of cleanliness.
- Understanding of food hygiene and COSHH regulations.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to take responsibility for duties.
- Flexible and willing to support colleagues and wider operations.
- Positive attitude and a strong team player.
