About The Role

As a Kitchen porter The primary purpose of this role is to lead and direct the operational responsibilities of your allocated porter team and clearing/wash up are, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, supporting service, and working collaboratively with the wider team and contribute to a positive, efficient kitchen environment.

Location: Fenwick – The Eatery Canterbury

Shift: Monday – Sunday availability required

Your Key Responsibilities will be :

  • Follow provided plans to positioning heavy equipment correctly
  • Ensure all correct equipment, cleaning products and disposables are in required areas, in required amounts for daily operation.
  • Day to day coordination and management of stock requirements for linen, beverage, disposable product (including food serving and chemical/cleaning products). To include the receiving of all products and the management of distribution, transfers and rotation across site.
  • Ensure that all crockery/ cutlery/ and equipment is cleaned to a high standard and stored in the correct way, as to not block fire exits and passage ways
  • Ensure waste streaming is followed as required.
  • To maintain a high standard of kitchen cleanliness at all times
  • To provide the highest standard personal presentation and hygiene at all times. This is to include PPE. (Personal Protective Equipment).
  • To ensure the highest standards of general hygiene and hygiene food handling are achieved at all times by all employees within kitchen areas as to the Company H&S standards.
  • Equipment is cleaned, heavy equipment empty and loaded out.
  • Ensure kitchen areas are handed back to client in good order.
