The People Operations Officer will provide operational and administrative support across a number of our major events, which include ATP & WTA Tennis Tournaments, Formula 1 and prestigious golf championships, as well as private and corporate occasions. You will be responsible for supporting workforce coordination and onsite delivery for our hospitality and catering contingent teams at each assigned event.
This role ensures our onsite staffing runs smoothly, supporting operational excellence and a best in class guest and worker experience, aligned with Absolute Taste and client values.
Location:Bicester 5 days per week - requirement to travel and work on location for events (flexibility required)
Key Responsibilities
- Support the implementation of end-to-end event resource plans aligned with client expectations and operational demands, assisting with recruitment, onboarding, training, rostering, travel, accommodation, and staff deployment.
- Assist in tracking variable labour expenses, travel hire, and accommodation costs against budget for assigned projects.
- Assist Operations Teams with building, publishing, and offering shifts to the casual, agency and freelance workforce through our workforce management system.
- Support People Operations leads with onsite activities, including staff accreditation, check-in, uniform distribution, employee welfare, and general operational support.
- Assist in monitoring worker compliance with safety regulations, venue policies, and event protocols whilst onsite.
- Support post-event administration, including casual staff payroll processing and verifying freelancer invoices inline with company policy.
- Conduct regular audits of employee data and compile ad-hoc management information (MI) reports when requested.
About You
- Prior experience working within an HR, People Operations, or administrative role, ideally within a fast paced environment or the hospitality and events industry
- Good awareness of recruitment activities, candidate screening, and basic onboarding compliance.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact confidently with a diverse contingent workforce.
- Comfortable handling and reviewing administrative and workforce data.
