The Megaro Collection is a privately-owned modern group, established over thirty years ago in King\’s Cross/St Pancras. Whilst we are a group of eclectic brands, each operation has its very own personality, in the same way as our people are unique. The excellence we strive for is born out of passion and love for the industry.
The Group’s portfolio is comprehensive of 3 boutique Hotels, 17 meeting rooms, an all-day dining Italian Restaurant, a mixology cocktail bar and a further restaurant to be opened towards the end of 2024.
We are now looking for a Head Baker to work alongside our Chef Patron, former Michelin starred chef, Adam Simmonds, supporting the group (Hotels and Restaurants) in preparing fresh bread and patisseries.
The ideal Baker will be very well trained with Italian pastries and bakery, to support and enhance our Italian restaurant, as well as being comfortable with classic French recipes for boulangerie and bakery alike.
The role is stand alone, hence requires a well organised, professional, reliable, and strong individual.
The Head Baker will:
- Work 5 days/45 hours per week, working from 4:00 am to 1:00 pm
- Reporting to the Chef Patron but also independently responsible for the department
- Be directly responsible for health & safety, food cost, wastage, stocks, ordering, cleanliness of the bakery
- Be a problem-solving persona and a team player
The ideal candidate will have a previous experience in bakery for at least 3 years and will be extremely passionate about product development and will be super creative. We are looking for an individual with a stable career path seeking a long-term commitment.
