The Megaro Collection is recruiting a Bar Manager for Hokus Pokus, our extraordinary cocktail bar located beneath The Megaro Hotel in King's Cross St Pancras.

We are looking for a charismatic and passionate hospitality professional with exceptional people skills and a genuine love for mixology. The ideal candidate will be a cocktail expert, ready to enchant our guests with creativity, outstanding service, and memorable experiences.

This role requires a natural leader with at least three years' experience in a similar management position within a trendy, high-end London bar concept. You will be commercially astute, solution-oriented, and confident in leading a small team while maintaining the highest standards of service. The successful candidate will thrive under pressure, remain calm in a fast-paced environment, and drive both guest satisfaction and business profitability.

We are seeking someone who is energetic, positive, and happy to work late evenings from Tuesday to Saturday. Creativity, passion for cocktails, and strong leadership skills are essential.

Key Responsibilities
  • Report directly to the F&B Director and work closely with all departments to ensure the successful operation of the bar.
  • Develop innovative cocktail menus that align with the Hokus Pokus concept.
  • Recruit, train, coach, and develop the bar team.
  • Maintain a flexible approach to working hours and responsibilities, always prioritising the needs of the business.
  • Take an active, hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the bar.
  • Monitor and drive profitability, ensuring budgets and financial targets are achieved.
  • Prepare budgets, forecasts, reports, and analyse business performance.
  • Oversee daily operations, ensuring efficiency, profitability, and competitiveness.
  • Maintain a safe working environment by ensuring full compliance with Health & Safety legislation and company procedures.
  • Deliver exceptional guest experiences while maintaining the highest standards of quality and service.

The successful candidate will have a hands-on management style, a proactive attitude, and excellent commercial awareness. They will be confident managing budgets, forecasting, reporting, and the day-to-day operation while inspiring the team to deliver exceptional service and outstanding cocktails.
