Assistant Bar Manager - The Meeting House

Opening this Autumn, The Meeting House will be a welcome addition to Belfast City centre. Located between Ann Street and Crown Entry, the venue will be a 'free-house' pub with a focus on traditional Irish music and its unique historical location. The pub will also be complemented by an adjoining Indian-inspired 60 seat restaurant, 'Ru'.

We are looking for an experienced Assistant Bar Manager to support the General Manager and help bring the bar to life.

The role

This is a key bar management position with responsibility for supporting the successful day-to-day operation of The Meeting House bar.

As Assistant Bar Manager, you will work closely with the General Manager to lead bar shifts,supportand develop the bar team,maintainhigh service standards and deliver an outstanding guest experience.

Whatyou'lldo:

  • Support the General Manager with the opening and ongoing operation of The Meeting House bar
  • Lead day-to-day bar shifts, ensuring seamless service flow and effective team co-ordination
  • Set and uphold exceptional service standards, handling customer feedback professionally and resolving issues promptly and confidently
  • Support the recruitment,trainingand development of a team of around 20to 25bar staff who are skilled, motivated and reflect the bar's culture and standards
  • Assistwith rotas, labour control, stock management, cashhandlingand the achievement of agreed KPIs
  • Maintain excellent bar presentation and product quality while ensuring full compliance with hygiene, health and safety, and licensing requirements

About you:

  • At least 2 years' bar management experience in a busy pub or other bar service environment
  • Someone able to make a quick impact and helpestablisha strong teamin a fresh bar environment
  • A people person who is great at growing and nurturing professional relationships
  • A confident shift leader and communicator with strong organisational skills
  • You have sound knowledge of bar operations, stockcontroland licensing standards
  • You'reenthusiastic, hands-on and enjoy bringing fresh ideas to the table
  • Flexibility to work evenings,weekendsand holidays
