Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Kitchen Staff role based in Oxford. The Kitchen Staff team member will assist with daily food preparation, cooking, and plating of menu items, ensuring consistency in taste and presentation. Responsibilities include maintaining a clean and organized kitchen, following hygiene and safety procedures, and supporting efficient service during busy periods. The role also involves working closely with front-of-house staff, responding to requests promptly, and contributing to a positive experience for customers at events and in the café. Flexibility in working hours, including evenings and weekends, may be required depending on event schedules.
Qualifications
- Candidates should possess skills in Food Preparation and Cooking, with the ability to follow recipes and support menu execution.
- Candidates should possess strong Hygiene practices, including knowledge of food safety standards and kitchen cleanliness.
- Candidates should possess effective Communication skills to coordinate with kitchen and front-of-house teams.
- Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to support a welcoming and professional environment during events and daily operations.
- Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, café, or catering setting is beneficial.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, stand for extended periods, and handle basic kitchen equipment safely.
- Basic understanding of allergen awareness and dietary requirements is an advantage.
