Overview
The MHRA is transforming. Through enabling innovation, making the right judgements of the benefits and risks of medical products and forging the right partnerships in the UK and internationally, it aims to deliver world class regulation and improved outcomes for UK patients.
We are currently looking for an experienced Data Engineer (Real World Data) to join our Clinical Practice Research Datalink function in the Safety and Surveillance group.
Responsibilities
- Within a week of working here, your day could look like this: developing end-to-end Extraction Transform Load (ETL) data processing solutions from data collection through to; maintaining and supporting CPRD’s data processing pipelines; ensuring data assets are of high quality and accompanied with appropriate levels of metadata; and identifying optimisations to enable scaling and repeatable use of data.
Qualifications
- The successful candidate will be educated to degree level, or equivalent, in either a computer science-based, IT-based, maths-based, or related discipline, or equivalent wok-related experience.
- Have proven ability of designing, building, and testing data products based on feeds from multiple systems, using a range of different storage technologies, access methods or both.
- Have proven ability of delivering data solutions in accordance with agreed organisational standards that ensure services are resilient, scalable, and future proof.
- Have proven ability of producing, maintaining, and updating relevant data models for an organisation’s specific needs.
- Have proven ability of designing, coding, testing, correcting and documenting programmes or scripts.
