Within Operations, our Business Services & Governance function plays a vital role in enabling high-quality, compliant and efficient services through strong governance, insight and continuous improvement.
The Opportunity
We're looking for an Operations Team Leader MI Analysis & Insights to lead the delivery of high-quality operational data, insight and analysis that informs decision-making and drives performance across global Operations. This is a key leadership role for someone who enjoys turning complex data into clear insight, partnering with senior leaders and using evidence to improve services, productivity and the member experience. You'll lead a small specialist MI & Insights team, act as a trusted partner to Operations leaders and help embed a strong, data-led culture across MPS.
As Operations Team Leader, you'll:
- Act as a trusted partner to senior operational leaders, offering insight, challenge and support to drive better decisions
- Provide in-depth analysis to explain performance, identify trends, and highlight root causes and improvement opportunities
- Support performance modelling, forecasting and analysis to optimise productivity, service KPIs and quality
- Work closely with the central Data & Analytics function to define and deliver meaningful operational metrics
- Ensure robust governance, controls and assurance over MI, reporting and high-profile operational issues
- Champion a culture of continuous improvement, inclusion and member-centric service excellence
What we're looking for
You'll be an experienced leader with strong analytical capability, comfortable operating at pace and influencing senior stakeholders through evidence-based insight. You'll bring:
- Proven experience leading and developing high-performing analytical or MI teams
- Strong expertise in MI, analytics and insight, with the ability to translate data into meaningful action
- Experience working with both financial and non-financial data
- Excellent communication and senior stakeholder engagement skills
- A strong understanding of data governance, risk and compliance
- Experience using data to drive continuous improvement and operational efficiency
It would be great (but not essential) if you also have:
- Professional qualifications in Data Analytics
- Experience in medical defence, insurance or a similarly regulated environment
- Understanding of end-to-end service, claims or cases processes
