Overview

We are seeking a motivated and committed Practice Nurse to join our practice team.

32 Hours a week

We are happy to accept applications from experienced nurses to newly qualified nurses. Staff progression is actively supported and encouraged.

The Practice Nurse will be responsible for a number of clinical areas such as infection prevention and control, health promotion, chronic disease management, health promotion, and cytology clinics, as well as actively supporting the practice management team in the reviewing and delivery of clinical policy and procedure.

Working as a member of the practice multidisciplinary team, the post holder will ensure nursing services are delivered effectively to the entitled patient population.

We are not Agenda for Change but our pay scales closely mirror A4C scales

Our clinical system is EMIS and if you have not used this system before in-house training will be provided

  • Practice independently in accordance with NMC code of conduct
  • Cervical Cytology
  • Vaccinations and Immunisations
  • Childhood Immunisations
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Health Promotion
  • Women's health
  • Travel Health
  • ECGs and Phlebotomy
  • Chaperone

Person Specification

Qualifications

  • Registered band 5 Nurse with current NMC registration
  • Strong communication and clinical skills
  • Primary care experience desirable but not essential

This post is subject to the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975 and as such it will be necessary for a submission for Disclosure to be made to the Disclosure and Barring Service (formerly known as CRB) to check for any previous criminal convictions.
