The successful candidate will manage research projects, develop insight-led sales materials, oversee specialist audience panels, and represent Sky Media within industry bodies such as BARB.

We are looking for somebody with exceptional storytelling skills, with a passion for uncovering insights and crafting persuasive narratives that resonate with advertisers, stakeholders and senior leaders.

  • Build strong relationships with research suppliers, industry bodies and partners, representing Sky Media externally and ensuring we remain at the forefront of audience measurement and industry thinking.
  • Connect diverse data sources, audience intelligence and market trends to reveal meaningful insights, helping stakeholders make informed decisions and spot opportunities others might miss.
  • Lead innovative research initiatives, from bespoke studies to audience panels, using curiosity and creativity to deepen understanding of audiences and strengthen Sky Media's market proposition.
  • Bring insight to life for senior stakeholders, clients and industry audiences through engaging storytelling, thought leadership and persuasive communication that shapes strategy and drives investment.
  • What you’ll bring
  • Proven ability to transform complex audience, viewing and campaign data into compelling stories using internal software such as Barb data surfaced via Tech Edge and IPA Touch Points.
  • Strong commercial acumen, with experience using research and insight through tools such as Nielsen Ad Intel and TGI data to create revenue opportunities, strengthen client relationships and drive advertiser investment.
  • Extensive experience delivering insight-led presentations and thought leadership to senior stakeholders, clients and industry audiences, with a track record of engaging and influencing diverse audiences.
  • Advanced expertise in audience measurement and media research tools, with the ability to uncover meaningful insights for our digital platforms and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations.

This includes using industry data such as Ipsos Iris, Tubular and You Tube analytics.

  • Demonstrable experience leading and delivering large-scale research projects, from design and stakeholder management through to insight generation and impactful communication.
  • Excellent stakeholder management and prioritisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and respond effectively to evolving business needs.

Desirable skills and experience

  • Experience representing an organisation within industry bodies, trade groups or audience measurement committees (e. g. BARB), helping shape industry standards and best practice.
  • Experience managing proprietary research panels, bespoke audience studies or specialist market research programmes within a media, advertising or broadcasting environment.
  • Knowledge of out-of-home, sports, streaming and / or cross-platform audience measurement, with an understanding of how insight can be used to create compelling commercial narratives for advertisers and media partners.
