About the job

Due to organisational growth and the opening of a new project, we are now recruiting for a Modern Slavery Accommodation Support Worker to work in a safe house setting based in the Liverpool area. In the role you will:

  • Be responsible for day-to-day health and safety of accommodation provision.
  • Be responsible for safety, risk management and security of service users whilst on shift.
  • Promote best practice in supporting survivors and monitoring impact of services and outcomes for survivors.
  • Maintain administrative systems, records, statistics and any administrative tasks related to the service users.

What we are looking for:

  • Strong knowledge of Health & Safety, safeguarding, and quality frameworks.
  • Excellent communication, organisational, and IT skills.
  • Experience of working with vulnerable adults, the ability to work within a residential or community setting with non-UK residents.

This service is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week which means you must be willing to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends and bank holidays. You will also be required to be part of an on-call rota and able to get to and from the project via public transport or your own car if it is necessary to attend the project whilst on call.

We are working to provide refuge and freedom for survivors and fighting to see slavery in all its forms become a thing of the past. The need for this work has never been higher, there are more than 50 million estimated victims of modern slavery worldwide, and over 120,000 potential victims in the UK. We operate ten safe houses and five outreach hubs, staffed round the clock by specialist staff, working with more than 600 men, women and dependent children each year. We work to raise awareness in the UK and to provide preventive work in source countries. Our Pursue work helps survivors to engage with police and within the legal system to seek justice and to secure convictions against their perpetrators.
