The Meadowbrook School of Weston, a pre-kindergarten through 8th grade school located in Weston, MA,is seeking a Head Coach for Middle School Girls Junior Varsity Soccer (grades 6-8) for the fall season. Theseason begins September 2nd, 2025 and runs until November 5th, 2025.
Practices are held on Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays from 3:00pm-4:20pm. Games are played on Wednesdays and Fridays.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement training programs for student-athletes in accordance with school policies and safety regulations.
- Conduct regular practices, focusing on skill development, teamwork, and sportsmanship.
- Create a positive and inclusive team culture that encourages participation and personal growth.
- Monitor and assess student-athletes\’ performance and provide constructive feedback to help them improve.
- Communicate effectively with students, parents, and school administration regarding schedules, progress, and any concerns.
- Promote the importance of physical fitness, healthy competition, and academic balance among student-athletes.
- Enforce safety rules and ensure a safe playing environment for all participants. Note that coaches must stay until all students are picked up after practices or games.
- Collaborate with other coaches and staff to enhance the overall athletics program.
- Transport student athletes to and from away games and/or practices using school-owned activity vehicles; requires completing driver safety training, background checks, and familiarity/adherence with the school’s policies for use of school-owned vehicles.
- Prepare written feedback for each student athlete as part of their report card comments.
Qualifications:
- Previous coaching experience at the middle school or high school level preferred.
- Strong knowledge of the sport(s) being coached and related skills.
- Valid driver’s license
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to motivate and inspire young athletes.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- A commitment to fostering an inclusive environment for all students.
- Relevant educational background in physical education, sports management, or a related field is a plus.
- Evening and weekend hours may be required for practices and games.
- Ability to travel for away games and events.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions during practices and games.
