This role will support the EITS Services and Supplier Team by ensuring overall stability through reliable service delivery, proactively reducing and preventing disruptions to all services, providing transparent service levels across the MDU to support shared goals and balanced outcomes, and enabling effective supplier management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the continuous review of IT services and support the building of a clear Services Roadmap to increase reliability, and robustness over time.
  • Work with the IT Service & Vendor Manager to ensure the IT Service Catalogue is up to date and easily accessible across the organisation, with clear service owners identified.
  • Assist in the management of IT supplier contract log and/or Contract Management System to ensure all IT contracts are filed correctly and kept up to date, and all associated documents are managed, such as minutes of meetings, reporting and SOWs.
  • Assist in the acceptance, and introduction, of new IT services into the service team in line with defined process and standards.
  • Assist in management of the IT communication channels that support the service management processes, such as MI communications and other service updates as required.
  • Work with the EITS Services and Supplier Team to ensure reporting on agreed operational service metrics and KPI’s in line with the reporting schedule.
  • Management of the mobile telephony contract including SIM swaps (data & voice), phone & connection issues and overall engagement with the telephony provider, ensuring respective help desk queue is managed and inline with SLAs.
  • Ensure that sufficient stock levels of standard IT equipment and spares, is maintained to ensure continuity of service for new starters or in the event of existing equipment failure.
  • Support the Software Asset Management function including
    • Management of software licences and input of licensing information into the SAM software tool.
    • Licensing optimisation to identify surplus and deficits.
    • Ensuring compliance with audit and policy requirements.
    • Management of software license requests through the ITSM system
  • Working with the Procurement Team to ensure contract and licensing renewals are managed in a timely manner and the necessary finance, and IT purchasing processes are followed.
  • Any other administrative or project tasks as required to support the team.

Knowledge and Experience

  • Success in the development of relationships with key stakeholders across the Business.
  • Knowledge of IT Procurement processes, procedures and practices.
  • Knowledge of ITSM processes, procedures & practices, especially in relation to software and hardware asset management.
  • Strong communicator and influencer.
  • Strong interpersonal skills able to develop strong relationships with internal and external key stakeholders / Suppliers.
  • An energetic, resilient, and adaptable style with evidence of success in similar sectors and environments.
