The successful individual will be a dedicated and results-driven Architectural Technician with a minimum of 3 years practical project experience in a variety of sectors. Strong leadership management skills, coupled with a decisive problem-solving ability, are required.
The successful candidate will be required to work as part of our team to develop initial scheme design, prepare Planning Submission drawings, coordinated drawing packages, Building Warrant submissions, and site visits. You will contribute to a range of projects across Scotland and northern England with responsibilities likely to include:
- Design development from feasibility and concept through to detailed proposals
- Strong technical ability and able to produce technical design and production information through RIBA Stages 3-5
- Coordination with consultants, specialists, and contractors
- Good communication skills and ability to work with external consultants and clients
- Site visits, inspections, and support during construction
Responsibilities will evolve in line with your experience, interests, and strengths. We are looking for a candidate who is:
- Motivated and eager to succeed within their profession
- Comfortable at preparing drawings for Planning or Building Warrant Submissions
- Good technical skills and knowledge that can be developed within the practice
- Proactive and willing to take on responsibilities
- Fluent in AutoCAD and/or REVIT
- Sketchup Pro/Enscape rendering experience would be beneficial
- Knowledge of NBS Spec Writing
