Director of Transnational Education (TNE)
The University of Surrey is a global community of ideas and people, dedicated to life-changing education and research. With an already strong global reputation, operating branch campuses internationally, the University of Surrey is seeking to appoint its Director of Transnational Education , a senior strategic post responsible for the leadership and development of Transnational Education (TNE) activities across the institution.
Working closely with the University Exec and senior academic stakeholders, the TNE function will deliver the University\’s ambitions of growing its international footprint , through overseas branch campuses, joint institutes, franchise arrangements and similar.
The Director of Transnational Education (TNE) will be responsible for:
- Recruiting and driving a dedicated TNE function that works with academic representatives across the organisation
- Undertaking in-country activities to assess local frameworks.
- Identifying and championing opportunities for the University to grow its international footprint.
- Leading commercial negotiations and establishing deals with international partners
- Leading the institutional implementation team to successfully launch new partnership projects, working closely with academic peers
The University has a long and demonstrable track record of success in the TNE space . The Director of TNE will enable to realise its ambitions to expand into new geographies that include Europe, Middle East, and Asia-Pacific.
Experience: Candidates with demonstrable experience in TNE, International Educational Partnerships, or Global Engagement are highly desirable. Experience leading TNE activities in either the lead or supporting role for a UK HEI or Pathways organisation is highly desirable.
