Join our LD Nursing Home Team and make a meaningful difference every day. We are looking for a compassionate, person-centred individual to provide safe, high-quality support to people with support needs, working closely with night staff to ensure continuity of care. You will help create empowering environments where individuals can build relationships, achieve personal goals, and live purposeful lives.
Key Responsibilities
- Build trusting relationships with the people you support, respecting their choices, dignity, and individuality.
- Deliver responsive, person-centred support in line with individual plans, including PBS strategies.
- Support with daily routines such as personal care, meals, medication, and household tasks, always promoting independence.
- Encourage participation in community life, hobbies, and personal development activities.
- Keep accurate records of wellbeing, progress, and incidents using agreed systems.
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, families, and external professionals to ensure consistent and holistic support.
- Contribute to the development and review of support plans, risk assessments, and PBS strategies.
- Promote safeguarding, dignity, inclusion, and emotional safety at all times.
- Participate in ongoing training and reflective practice to maintain high standards of care.
Hours and Pay
Hours: We have a 37.5hr and a 25hr per week vacancy available. You will be working 12.5-hour shifts on a Rota basis, covering a 24-hour support service across 7 days a week. Pay: £13.18 per hour.

Must have:
- Strong emotional resilience and ability to stay calm in pressured situations.
- Strong communication skills able to listen actively, speak clearly, and write clear, accurate records.
- A person-led approach, with patience, empathy, and attention to detail.
- Ability to build trusting relationships with the people you support, colleagues, and external partners.
- Organised, motivated, and confident working independently or as part of a team.
- Flexibility to work shifts, including weekends and bank holidays.
Desirable:
- Experience supporting people with learning disabilities.
- Awareness of safeguarding, mental capacity, and health & safety principles.
- Experience working in inclusive, values-led environments.
Qualifications
- Care Certificate or Minimum Level 2 Health & Social Care or Care Certificate (desirable).
- Minimum Grade C English & Maths or equivalent.
