The Matthew Project (Norwich) is a value driven charity working across Norfolk giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol.

Starting Salary: £14,552 per annum. Hours: 22 hours per week (over 4 days). Contract: Part time, permanent.

Responsibilities
  • Facilitate the smooth running, efficiency, and effectiveness of the organisation, primarily supporting the CEO and assisting the Chair of Trustees in preparing for bi-monthly trustee board meetings and post-meeting follow-up.
  • Prepare agendas and attend organisational meetings to take minutes as a significant part of the role, and support the Senior Leadership Team and other key staff to resolve issues and improve processes.
  • Provide confidential and comprehensive administrative support with excellent communication to build and maintain relationships within the organisation to facilitate meeting objectives.
Requirements / About you
  • Highly organised and a self-starter who can use initiative and work collaboratively with the Senior Leadership Team and other key staff.
  • Able to develop a good understanding of all aspects of the charity’s management and strategy to become an integral part of the organisation.
  • Self-reliant, professional, confident, and comfortable when dealing with people at all levels internally and externally.
Additional information

This role is primarily office-based, with flexibility in working hours and consideration for some hybrid working. We welcome applications from people of all backgrounds, of any faith or none. The role will require the completion of a basic DBS process before starting.
