The Matthew Project is a value driven charity working across Norfolk giving help and hope through programmes with adults, young people and communities affected by drugs and alcohol.
We have an exciting part-time opportunity to join the Matthew Project as a Catering Assistant based at our award-winning Next Steps centre in Norwich. The post holder will be an integral part of the recovery support team and will be responsible for the production and service of meals and refreshments. They will also coordinate volunteers in the kitchen and support the facilitation of taught sessions in the kitchen.
Duties will include:
- Maintaining outstanding levels of customer service.
- Following Food Standards Agency (FSA) guidelines on nutrition and healthy eating.
- Menu planning and sourcing ingredients.
- Maintaining standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene of the premises and kitchen in all food storage, preparation and service areas.
- Recording of stock and ensuring kitchen appliances are fit for purpose.
