We are seeking a Software Program Manager who will focus on delivering challenging, high value projects. You’ll partner with teams building the cloud infrastructure, core service platforms, and parallel compute capabilities that power scalable, high-performance engineering and enable agentic AI workflows. You will collaborate with the Engineering Managers, cross‑functional leadership, and Program Management to plan, prioritize, and execute these initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Partner with cross‑functional software development teams to help them prioritize, plan, track and execute complex, cross organizational programs while maintaining focus on building the right things at the highest levels of quality.
- Facilitate planning process to create roadmaps and release plans aligning with strategic objectives and priorities.
- Work with cross‑functional teams to identify dependencies. Facilitate communications with dependent/impacted teams to negotiate and establish agreement of responsibilities and plans.
- Perform program analysis, manage risk, identify and influence necessary course corrections, and communicate program status and activities across multiple levels of management.
- Champion our continuous improvement core value. Facilitate problem‑solving to identify root causes of challenging issues within Development and ensure countermeasures address the problem effectively.
- Mentor teams and other PMs on team agile development practices, identify opportunities for team improvement, and execute a visible plan for their achievement.
- Co‑author and drive execution of change management and pilot plans. Gather, analyze, and incorporate feedback.
- Monitor KPIs to identify issues in team quality or delivery rate - raise awareness; define, communicate, and track the plan to address those issues.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree and 6 years of professional work experience (or a master's degree and 3 years of professional work experience, or a PhD degree, or equivalent experience) is required.
Additional Qualifications
- Technical degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Math, or Science.
- Experience in developing commercial software products using Agile development practices.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and persistent; able to deal with uncertainty and change.
- Ability to influence others even when you have no direct line of authority over them.
- Expertise in managing cross‑organizational software development projects from initiation through delivery.
- Experience with Jira and Confluence.
- Hands‑on experience with developing and reporting on metrics for engineering development, bugs, issues, risks, and other aspects of project and program management.
- Understanding of current technologies; able to participate and contribute to technical conversations.
