The Role

We are looking for a Senior Accounts Assistant to join our team in a varied and hands-on role. You will work with a range of clients and be involved in both compliance and ongoing financial support, including:

  • Preparation of statutory accounts
  • Preparation of corporation tax computations and returns
  • Preparation and review of VAT returns
  • Preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Liaising directly with clients and responding to queries
  • Supporting the wider team with ad hoc assignments
  • Supporting junior members of the team

About You

You will:

  • Have experience working within an accountancy practice or wishing to take the first step away from Industry into Public Practice
  • Be AAT qualified, ACA/ACCA part-qualified, or qualified by experience
  • Have strong experience in accounts preparation and tax knowledge
  • Be confident communicating with clients
  • Be organised, proactive and able to manage your own workload
  • Good working knowledge of Xero and/or QuickBooks Online would be advantageous
