Excellent temporary opportunity for an SAP experienced, numerate person to provide payroll administrative support to the Head Office payroll team.

The Role

  • Responsible for the production of current payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and requirements (HMRC, GDPR etc).
  • Responsible for submission of weekly and monthly payroll and completion of appropriate documentation.
  • Validation of input documentation, reporting back discrepancies.
  • Validation of output documentation prior to final payments.
  • Maintenance and updating employee records.
  • Maintenance and updating SAP.
  • Suggestions for continuous improvements to processes.

The Ideal Applicant

  • Educated to a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent in English and Maths/HND/BTEC/Degree in Business Studies or similar.
  • Knowledge of statutory HMRC regulations essential.
  • Experience of previous administrative and payroll duties.
  • Self‑motivated and the ability to influence others to achieve deadlines.
  • Proven interpersonal and communication skills, face to face, on the telephone and in writing.
  • Detail conscious, accurate and methodical.
  • Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Mail.
  • Ability to manage a high workload: good organisational and prioritising skills, with the ability to multi‑task and be flexible.
  • Ability to problem solve and make rational, logical recommendations.
  • Confidentiality and discretion are paramount.
  • Excellent command of English.
  • Member of Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals desirable.
