Excellent temporary opportunity for an SAP experienced, numerate person to provide payroll administrative support to the Head Office payroll team.
The Role
- Responsible for the production of current payroll, ensuring compliance with statutory regulations and requirements (HMRC, GDPR etc).
- Responsible for submission of weekly and monthly payroll and completion of appropriate documentation.
- Validation of input documentation, reporting back discrepancies.
- Validation of output documentation prior to final payments.
- Maintenance and updating employee records.
- Maintenance and updating SAP.
- Suggestions for continuous improvements to processes.
The Ideal Applicant
- Educated to a minimum of 2 A Levels or equivalent in English and Maths/HND/BTEC/Degree in Business Studies or similar.
- Knowledge of statutory HMRC regulations essential.
- Experience of previous administrative and payroll duties.
- Self‑motivated and the ability to influence others to achieve deadlines.
- Proven interpersonal and communication skills, face to face, on the telephone and in writing.
- Detail conscious, accurate and methodical.
- Proficient in the use of MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Google Mail.
- Ability to manage a high workload: good organisational and prioritising skills, with the ability to multi‑task and be flexible.
- Ability to problem solve and make rational, logical recommendations.
- Confidentiality and discretion are paramount.
- Excellent command of English.
- Member of Chartered Institute of Payroll Professionals desirable.
