A rare opportunity to join a privately backed, investment‑funded upstream technology business entering a significant growth phase. The company has recently secured funding to expand its product portfolio, accelerate new tool development and scale internationally within the oil well intervention and completion markets. This is controlled expansion backed by capital and clear strategy.

The leadership team is composed of experienced upstream engineers and proven operators who have built and scaled oilfield businesses before. The culture is engineering‑led, commercially disciplined, and highly accountable.

A specialist upstream downhole technology company operating exclusively in oil well intervention and completion tooling, focused on high‑integrity, pressure‑critical downhole tools. Developing proprietary, IP‑protected technology platforms in an agile engineering environment with short decision cycles and a clear roadmap for product expansion and global reach.

As Senior Mechanical Design Engineer, you will take ownership of complex upstream oil well intervention tools from feasibility through to deployment. You will:

  • Conduct tolerance stack‑up studies and apply GD&T principles
  • Develop complex SolidWorks assemblies and detailed manufacturing drawings
  • Design and oversee validation test equipment
  • Participate hands‑on in workshop build and testing
  • Lead technical design reviews internally and with customers
  • Support field trials and first‑off installations
  • Deliver projects through structured engineering stage gates

This is full lifecycle engineering with visible accountability.

  • Own the whole tool
  • Engage directly with customers
  • See your work tested and deployed
  • Operate in a high‑performance, low‑bureaucracy environment
