Position Summary: To plan and manage the work of the Hygiene & Reverse Logistics teams to pre-determined productivity and service levels whilst complying with all Health and Safety legislation, Employment Law, EU and Company hygiene standards. As well as addressing the teamβs performance in accordance with Company Policy and processes.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage the Yard
- Manage and motivate the team to achieve daily output objectives and deliver KPIs:
- Manage, own and plan activities within the reverse logistics and warehouse hygiene teams. To manage budget expectations and report to senior site management providing updates on budget targets
- Ensure that Hygiene and tidiness comply with the DQMP standards at all times and hygiene schedule is completed within set time frames as set out by QA manager
- Ensure all Hygiene and Reverse Logistics Operatives are trained and are competent to carry out tasks assigned to them including an supporting agency labour
- Maintain accurate records for all staff
- Ensure all assessments / appraisals are carried out Bi yearly
- Proactively seek solutions to operational problems, suggesting and implementing change where necessary
- Ensure blue and black barrels, cardboard and shirk-wrap trailers are changed over to ensure that no unnecessary build up occurs and availability of empty barrels is maintained
- Manage stock control of all hygiene equipment, materials and supplies
- Manage all waste streams in the yard environment including food waste skips, GTW, cardboard metal and general waste including environmental waste is controlled in the yard area (not an inclusive list)
- Ensure that there is sufficient employee resource both in quality and quantity terms to meet set KPIs:
- Plan, manage and control labour usage to achieve budget productivity levels and financial spend
Qualifications
Technical Competencies:
- Previous management experience in a similar FMCG operation
- Previous experience of MS computer packages to intermediate level
- Competent at performance management
- Previous experience with conducting interviews
- Formal management skills, experience of employment law, and HR processes β Desirable
