We are looking for a Trust Accountant to join our expandingCore Finance Team at Meridian Trust!
You will play an important role in ensuring the finance teamcomply with all internal and external financial regulations, the completion andsubmission of month end reports and development of common financial systemsacross the Trust. Reporting to the Director of Finance, the postholder willensure the executive board, academy leaders and other key business leaders havethe financial information to ensure best value in meeting the objects of thetrust.
Our Trust Accountants are based largely in the schools they serve, schools will be allocated to the successful candidate likely within the North of Cambridgeshire.
Please note this role will require travel betweenthese sites within these areas or other areas within the trust whererequired.
The opportunity
- To join agrowing Trust with a breadth of opportunities
- Tosuccessfully line manage a strong, fun and enthusiastic finance team throughregular training and development
- Workclosely with members of the leadership team to support budget tracking andplanning processes
- Play akey role in month end checks for all school accounts
The ideal candidate
- Goodeducational background including a professional qualification in accountancy(ACA, CIMA, CIPFA, ACCA or equivalent)
- Knowledgeof Financial management processes and systems
- Experienceof ownership of budgetary and forecasting management
- Proficientin data management
- Knowledgeof payroll
- Highlevel of accuracy and attention to detail
- Will beprepared to travel to work across a small group of schools
