An exciting opportunity hasarisen at our oversubscribed and rated "good" academy forstudents from 11 to 19 years of age, for a Level 2 General Assistant Teacher towork as part of our Specialised Learning Faculty. We are looking for anindividual who can support, motivate and inspire students who need particularhelp to overcome barriers to learning in a mainstream educational setting. Youwill need to be a team player but also be able to work independently, showgreat flexibility, creativity and have good communication skills. You will alsoneed to have a level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics and be able todemonstrate an intermediate knowledge if ICT.
You will collaborate withteachers in planning and delivering programs of teaching and learningactivities for classes, groups or individuals. The primary focus is toundertake educational activities with individuals, groups and whole classeswithin a framework agreed with and under the overall direction and supervisionof a qualified teacher. You will support in homework club one day a weekoffering one to one support with students to achieve high standards of homelearning.
This role will start as soon as possible and willbe subject to a 6 month probationary period. The salary for this role is H3,for 31.33 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum, term time only. There may be arequirement to work some additional inset days by mutual agreement. These wouldbe paid as extra hours. Working hours are 8.25-3.15 daily, with 1 day until4.30pm.
