32.33 hours per week Monday – Friday, Term – Time only. Fixed-term contract – September 2026 until July 2027.

An exciting opportunity at our oversubscribed and rated "good" academy for students from 11 to 19 years of age. You will work as part of our Specialised Learning Faculty, supporting, motivating and inspiring students who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning in a mainstream educational setting.

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with teachers in planning and delivering programmes of teaching and learning activities for classes, groups or individuals.
  • Support educational activities with individuals, groups and whole classes within a framework agreed with and under the overall direction and supervision of a qualified teacher.
  • Provide one‑to‑one support in the homework club one day a week to help students achieve high standards of home learning.

Qualifications:

  • Level 2 qualification in English and Mathematics.
  • Intermediate knowledge of ICT.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility, creativity and strong communication skills.
  • Experience of working with learners who have barriers to learning is desirable.

Benefits:

  • Salary: H3 rate, 31.33 hours per week, 38 weeks per annum, term‑time only.
  • Potential for additional inset days, paid as extra hours.
  • Working hours: 8:15 – 3:15 daily, with one day extending to 4:30pm.
  • Probationary period: 6 months.
