Help Shape the Future of Healthcare Markets

We're looking for an exceptional strategic leader to build and lead a market insight and activation capability that directly drives commercial growth. This is not a traditional market research, business intelligence, marketing, or sales role. Instead, you'll use research, evidence, market intelligence, and activation programmes to influence how healthcare markets behave, challenge established thinking, and create sustainable competitive advantage across our healthcare and nutrition businesses.

Working directly with the CEO and senior leadership team, you'll design and lead a market insight engine that turns evidence into action, influences NHS procurement and clinical decision-making, identifies new growth opportunities, and helps shape the future direction of the business. If you're commercially minded, intellectually curious, and motivated by impact rather than reporting, this is a rare opportunity to build something transformational.

About the Role

As Commercial Insight, Research & Market Activation Lead, you will own the end-to-end process of turning market intelligence into commercial outcomes. You'll combine strategic insight, healthcare market expertise, NHS procurement understanding, category analysis, stakeholder influence, and scalable activation programmes to drive growth across the organisation. You'll work across commercial, innovation, R&D, finance, and leadership teams, using insight to influence decisions ranging from tender strategy and market access through to innovation pipelines, investment priorities, and category expansion.

Key Responsibilities include but not limited to:

  • Lead Research That Changes Market Behaviour
  • Drive NHS Tender and Market Access Strategy
  • Build Scalable Market Activation Programmes
  • Lead Account-Based Market Activation
  • Ensure resources are focused where commercial return is greatest.
  • Own Category and Growth Opportunity Insight
  • Transform Data Into Strategic Decisions
  • Lead Cross-Business Insight Strategy
  • Drive Innovation and Opportunity Development

What Success Looks Like

You'll be measured by your ability to create real commercial impact, including:

  • Influencing market and tender behaviour
  • Improving competitive positioning
  • Identifying new growth opportunities
  • Increasing activation efficiency and scalability
  • Delivering measurable commercial outcomes from insight programmes

About You

We're looking for a strategic, commercially minded leader who combines analytical rigour with the ability to influence and drive change.

  • Significant experience in Market Insights, Market Intelligence, Commercial Strategy, Market Access, Business Intelligence, Commercial Excellence, Growth Strategy, or related leadership roles
  • Proven success translating insight into measurable commercial outcomes
  • Experience operating within healthcare, nutrition, life sciences, medical devices, pharmaceuticals, or similarly regulated sectors
  • Strong understanding of NHS procurement, healthcare commissioning, tender frameworks, or public sector purchasing environments
  • Experience influencing senior stakeholders and leading cross-functional initiatives
  • Strong qualitative and quantitative research expertise
  • Experience working with data, analytics, and market intelligence to support strategic decision-making
  • Relevant Degree in Business, Finance, Marketing or experience to the same
  • Healthcare nutrition, medical nutrition, pharmaceutical, medical device, or NHS experience
  • Category strategy and portfolio management
  • Account-Based Marketing (ABM)
  • Market access and policy engagement

Personal Attributes

You'll thrive in this role if you are:

  • Commercially astute and strategically minded
  • Naturally curious and insight-driven
  • Comfortable challenging conventional thinking
  • Entrepreneurial and proactive
  • Highly autonomous and accountable
  • Resilient and confident influencing senior stakeholders
  • Skilled at turning complexity into clarity
  • An exceptional communicator and storyteller
  • Solutions-focused with a hands-on approach
