About the Role: We are looking for reliable and hands-on individuals to join our Event Setup Crew. This role involves transporting equipment, setting up market and trader stalls, and ensuring event spaces are organised, safe, and ready for public use. You'll play an essential part in creating a welcoming and functional environment for traders and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect and transport equipment using company vehicles and trailers to event locations.
- Set up trader stalls along highstreets, markets, and various event sites according to provided layout plans.
- Ensure all structures are safely installed and secured.
- Troubleshoot minor setup issues and support traders where required.
- Return at the end of the event to dismantle and pack down equipment, ensuring everything is accounted for.
- Maintain equipment in a clean and serviceable condition and report any damages or maintenance needs.
- Represent the company professionally when interacting with traders, partners, and the public.
A Typical Day Looks Like:
- Arriving at the warehouse or heading directly to the event site.
- Loading and driving a trailer with necessary equipment.
- Setting up trader stalls and event structures efficiently as part of a small team.
- Leaving the site once the setup is complete, then returning after trading hours to pack down and return equipment to the warehouse.
Requirements:
- Comfortable and confident driving a vehicle towing a trailer.
- Physically able to carry and move equipment (some lifting required).
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work early mornings or late finishes depending on event timings.
- Ability to follow layout plans and direction efficiently.
- A positive team attitude and willingness to help where needed.
- Full UK driving licence (essential).
