We are looking to expand our team of therapists and recruit a Therapy Assistant with experience in Rehabilitation to work closely with the current Therapy Assistants and the wider multidisciplinary team of Physiotherapists, Occupational Therapists, Speech and Language Therapists and a Clinical Psychologist at The Marbrook Centre.

Responsibilities

  • Provide rehabilitation to residents, carrying out treatment interventions as instructed by therapists (exercise sessions, walking practice, assistance with washing and dressing, and aiding communication).
  • Deliver high quality treatment programmes under supervision of the wider therapy team to individuals with a range of neurological conditions, including running therapy group sessions and activities.
  • Support the team with discharge planning, liaising with outside agencies such as social services, equipment services and third sector organisations such as the Stroke Association or Headway.
  • Participate in regular training, supervision sessions and weekly therapy team meetings, and pursue continuing professional development.

Qualifications

  • Therapy Assistant experience in rehabilitation.
  • Experience working with neurological conditions such as stroke, ABI, spinal injury.
  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Hours: 40 hours per week.
  • Salary: £14.38 per hour.
