We are recruiting for an experienced Occupational Therapist with a background in Neurological Rehabilitation to join our Occupational Therapy team and wider multidisciplinary team (MDT). Working within a dynamic rehabilitation environment, you will provide comprehensive assessments and deliver high-quality interventions for individuals transitioning from acute hospital settings. The caseload primarily includes patients with Stroke, Acquired Brain Injury (ABI), Spinal Cord Injury (SCI), and other complex neurological conditions.
The successful candidate will have experience managing an adult neurological caseload, with strong skills in assessing and treating both physical and cognitive impairments. You will be confident using a range of cognitive and impairment-based assessment tools, delivering evidence-based rehabilitation programmes, and contributing to effective discharge planning to support patients in achieving the best possible outcomes.
You will have the opportunity to work closely with your patients and utilise a wide array of resources and up to date technology such as:
- Well-equipped Therapy Gym
- Therapy Kitchen space
- Rehabilitation training/transitional living flat
- Splinting equipment and resources
- Wheelchair accessible vehicles for community access/rehabilitation
- iPads and other IT equipment
Continued professional development is actively encouraged within the service and we hold weekly therapy team meetings and in service training and there will be opportunities to run training, to provide supervision to therapy assistants and run therapy groups.
The Marbrook Centre is a specialist Neurological Rehabilitation provider in St Neots, Cambridgeshire. The centre provides intensive rehabilitation for people post stroke, ABI, spinal injury and many other conditions.
