We aim to make our pubs the social hub, employ local people, source local produce and raise the profile of the village. *We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our kitchen team in delivering exceptional culinary experiences. As the Head Chef, you will be responsible for overseeing all kitchen operations, ensuring high standards of food preparation and production, and fostering a positive working environment within the hospitality sector. *Lead and manage the kitchen team, providing guidance and support to ensure efficient operations. * Oversee food preparation and production, ensuring quality and consistency in every dish served. * Maintain high standards of hygiene and food safety in accordance with health regulations. * Train and supervise kitchen staff, fostering a culture of teamwork and collaboration. * Monitor inventory levels, placing orders for supplies as needed to ensure smooth kitchen operations. * Assist in budgeting and cost control measures to optimise kitchen efficiency. *Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of food preparation techniques. * Proven leadership abilities with experience in team management within a kitchen environment. * Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in hospitality. * Creative flair for menu development, showcasing seasonal ingredients and innovative dishes. * Strong communication skills to liaise effectively with both kitchen staff and front-of-house teams. *Accommodation available in St. Yearly target-based bonus of up to 10% annual salary * Loyalty Bonus after 12-months of service (every year) * Company Pension Scheme through NEST * 50% off food * 30% off CVI Hotel stays (off-peak) * Career Progression Job Types: Full-time, Permanent Pay: From £16.50 per hour Company pension * Discounted or free food * Employee discount Ability to commute/relocate: * Bees CA27 0DE: reliably commute or plan to relocate before starting work (required) Head Chef: 2 years (preferred)
