We are seeking a motivated and compassionate Salaried GP to join our friendly and supportive team at The Manor Clinic, located in the coastal town of Folkestone, Kent. Main duties of the job
As a Salaried GP, you'll provide compassionate, high-quality care to a diverse patient population within a supportive practice environment. Your day-to-day will involve a mix of face-to-face and telephone consultations, chronic disease management, and working closely with our wider clinical and administrative team. You'll play a key role in patient care continuity, contribute to clinical decision-making, and be encouraged to develop any special interests you may have. Job responsibilities
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and online consultations with patients, including appropriate clinical examination, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and referral.
- Provide care for patients presenting with undifferentiated and undiagnosed problems, as well as those with chronic conditions.
- Undertake home visits where clinically required.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to deliver holistic patient care, including liaising with nurses, pharmacists, health visitors, and social care professionals.
- Review and act on pathology, radiology, and other investigation results.
- Issue prescriptions and manage repeat prescribing in line with practice protocols and prescribing guidelines.
- Participate in clinical meetings, audits, significant event reviews, and practice development activities.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in accordance with legal and professional standards.
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and service delivery innovation.
- Comply with CQC standards, GMC guidance, and local/national policies.
- Undertake continuing professional development (CPD) and revalidation.
Person Specification
- GMC registration with a license to practice
- Inclusion on the NHS England GP Performers List
- Relevant UK GP training and MRCGP (or equivalent)
- Excellent clinical, communication, and organisational skills
- Commitment to high-quality patient care and teamwork
- Experience with EMIS clinical system
- Additional areas of special interest (e.g., women's health, minor surgery, mental health)
- Experience working in a multidisciplinary or training practice
- Involvement in teaching, supervision, or quality improvement projects
