We are looking to appoint a dedicated Science Technician to join our successful Science Department. This role will provide support to colleagues within the Science Department with preparing practical lessons, maintaining equipment, and ensuring the safe storage of chemicals and materials. Please note that the 27 hours per week will be spread over 5 days.

We are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people. An offer of employment will be subject to the receipt of a satisfactory enhanced level DBS disclosure with a children's barred list check, two satisfactory references and successful completion of vetting procedures.

Responsibilities

Requirements
  • Good subject knowledge and a passion for science
  • Strong understanding of health and safety requirements
  • Excellent IT and communication skills

Salary and Hours
  • Grade and Salary: Grade 4: £18,788 - £20,380 per annum (£28,598 - £31,022 FTE)
  • Working pattern: 27 hours per week, 41 weeks per year (term time only plus 2 weeks)
  • 5 days a week (Monday-Friday)
  • Contract term: Permanent
