An exciting permanent opportunity has arisen for a motivated and enthusiastic student recruitment professional to join one of the largest universities in the UK. In this role, you will help prospective students explore their options and choose the right course for their future. The Recruitment and Admissions Department (R&A) provides a seamless service to prospective students, from their first enquiry through to enrolment, across all courses and study levels. We support enquirers, applicants, staff and external stakeholders through a wide range of services. Each year, we communicate with over 100,000 enquirers and applicants through our recruitment campaigns, welcome more than 40,000 visitors to campus, and deliver over 800 off-campus events. We also manage offer‑making and communications for over 80,000 applications annually. Providing clear, high-quality information, advice and guidance is at the heart of what we do, helping students make informed decisions about higher education and Manchester Metropolitan University.

Responsibilities

  • The Student Recruitment Officer (Undergraduate) supports the delivery of multi‑channel communication plans that enhance our home undergraduate recruitment and events strategy.
  • You will work across a range of channels, including email, web and print, with a strong focus on delivering personalised, data‑led communications using CRM systems to support conversion activity.
  • You will work closely with colleagues across the University to ensure a positive and seamless student journey.
  • The role also includes supporting the planning, management and delivery of large‑scale, end‑to‑end on‑campus events, as well as contributing to the successful delivery of complex recruitment events both on campus and online.

What we’re looking for

  • Knowledge of higher education, ideally within a student recruitment environment.
  • Experience of delivering clear and effective communications to a range of audiences.
  • Good working knowledge of CRM principles, and experience of delivering information, advice and guidance through multiple marketing channels.
  • Experience of planning, organising and delivering projects and large‑scale events involving multiple stakeholders.
  • Ability to review and evaluate communications and events, identifying improvements and future opportunities.
