Are you passionate about producing high‑quality and inclusive poetry projects and events? Manchester Metropolitan University invites the Poetry Project Coordinator to join the Library & Cultural Services team to support poetry and literature events with Manchester Poetry Library.
About the Role
- Co‑ordinate a series of events that intersect contemporary poetry, public engagement and digital innovation, including podcasts, live readings, visual poetry projects and the Manchester Translation Series, in collaboration with Manchester Writing School and the UK’s first university‑located Poetry Library.
Responsibilities
- Ensure the professional delivery of high‑quality poetry and literature activities in collaboration with Manchester Poetry Library and the Poetry Research Group.
- Project‑management – planning, delivery and evaluation of poetry events and activities.
- Provide effective and efficient administrative support including contracting.
- Deliver an excellent, accessible and inclusive experience to stakeholders and participants.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience, interest and enthusiasm for working within poetry, literature and cultural environments.
- Thrives in a fast‑paced and inclusive setting.
- Experienced in customer care, quality service and operational management.
- Project‑management skills with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Passion for promoting inclusive poetry and arts events.
Working Arrangements
- Hybrid working is offered; staff will work a proportion of time on campus and a proportion remotely.
