We are seeking a professional, organised and customer focused Conference & Events Coordinator to join our Conference Services team on a 12‑month fixed term basis. This is an exciting opportunity to support the planning, coordination and delivery of a wide range of conferences and events across the University. Working closely with clients, internal stakeholders and the Conference & Events Operations Manager, you will play a key role in ensuring events are delivered smoothly, efficiently and to a high standard, contributing to customer satisfaction and commercial success.

Key Tasks

  • Coordinate the planning and delivery of conferences and events from initial enquiry through to completion.
  • Act as a key point of contact for clients, building positive working relationships and responding to enquiries and requests.
  • Prepare and manage event documentation including contracts, operational schedules, risk assessments and invoices.
  • Liaise with internal teams such as Timetabling, Catering, Facilities and IT to ensure event requirements are met.
  • Support the onsite delivery of events, ensuring rooms and services are set up correctly and customer expectations are met.
  • Maintain accurate records on event management and booking systems.
  • Contribute to sales targets, income generation and high levels of customer satisfaction.

We are looking for a proactive and well organised individual with experience of working in a customer focused environment, ideally within conferences, events or hospitality. You will have strong communication skills, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced setting. You will be confident working with clients and colleagues, able to prioritise effectively, and committed to delivering a high quality service. Experience of coordinating events, managing event administration and working with booking or event management systems would be highly beneficial.
