We have an exciting opportunity to join our Performing Arts Department at our City Campus Manchester as a Musical Theatre Singing Teacher / Vocal Coach. In this role, you will deliver high-quality vocal coaching and musical theatre training, helping learners develop their technique, confidence, and stage presence. You’ll be part of a well-established team, working in modern facilities with a strong focus on practical, performance-led learning. This position would suit someone with a background in musical theatre, vocal performance, or performing arts who is passionate about supporting the next generation. A teaching qualification is desirable, but support can be provided for the right candidate.

Start your teaching journey with us! We welcome applications from aspiring teachers who are passionate about sharing their industry skills. At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post 16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE. This includes 3-4 hours delivery per week and engagement with a mentor to support your progress in the profession while you work. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £30,750 – £32,931. It’s a great way to kick-start a rewarding career with full training and support. Once you’ve successfully qualified and demonstrated your teaching competence, you’ll progress to the qualified teacher salary banding.

- Current and valid industry specialism.
- Assessor qualifications (if required by Awarding Organisation).
- Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification.
- English and maths minimum level 2 Grade C or grade 4 and above.
- Significant experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning.
- Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism.
- Working as a team.
- Verbal and written communication skills.
- Meet delivery targets and plans.
- Accurate and timely reports and records.
- Positive contribution to planning processes.
- Accomplished Pianist.
