We have an exciting opportunity at our City Campus Manchester to join our Sport, Public Services and Care Professions Department as a Science (Physics) Teacher on a permanent, full-time (35 hours per week) basis. Our City Centre campus is a flagship site in the heart of Manchester, offering cutting-edge facilities and a buzzing, creative atmosphere. At The Manchester College, you will be supported by our Teaching Academy to work towards qualified teacher status for post 16 compulsory education, through a Cert Ed/PGCE. The starting salary for an unqualified teacher is between £30,750 - £32,931. It’s a great way to kick-start a rewarding career with full training and support. Once you’ve successfully qualified and demonstrated your teaching competence, you’ll progress to the qualified teacher salary banding.
Minimum Level 3 occupational qualification. English and maths minimum level 2 Grade C or grade 4 and above. Significant experience of delivering outstanding teaching and learning. Teach BTEC Level 3. Proven track record of high-quality teaching in delivering subject specialism or current valid industry specialism. Positive contribution to planning processes.
