Careers and Welfare Co-ordinator • Manchester
We have an exciting opportunity at our Harpurhey campus to join our Careers and Welfare Department as a Careers and Welfare Co‑ordinator on a permanent, full‑time (35 hours per week) basis (a term‑time only post is available for the right candidate).
In this role, you will deliver high‑quality Careers Education, Information, Advice and Guidance (CEIAG) to both individuals and groups of learners.
A key focus of the role will be outreach delivery, working closely with key external partners to support learners who may face additional barriers to progression.
You will also collaborate with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders to ensure all learners receive a positive, inclusive, and impactful careers and welfare experience that supports their progression into education, employment, or training.

Skills, Qualifications and Experience
- A Level 6 Careers qualification, or a minimum of a Level 4 Qualification in Advice and Guidance, with a willingness to work towards Level 6.
- English and Maths at Level 2 (or equivalent).
- Proven experience (1–3 years) working within the careers guidance or CEIAG sector.
- The ability to work sensitively, flexibly, and empathetically with learners from diverse cultural, ethnic, and welfare backgrounds.
- Strong IT skills, with confidence using a range of digital systems and software.
- Excellent organisation and time management skills, with the ability to manage your own workload effectively.
- The ability to work collaboratively across teams and build positive professional relationships.
