Skills, Qualifications and Experience:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- NVQ level 3 or equivalent experience or qualification in Mental Health and Wellbeing, psychology, or social sciences
- Hold Level 2 qualification in English and Maths
- Significant experience of supporting young people within alternative provision settings and with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs
- Experience of liaison with a range of agencies
- Experience of delivering services in a community setting
- Experience of caseload management
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to work as a member of a multi-disciplinary team
- Skills and knowledge in using participatory young person ways of working
- Understanding of the issues young people face and how this impacts on their mental health
- Relevant experience of IT systems such as Microsoft packages
- The ability to use assessment tools and outcome measures in collaboration with the young person
- Experience of forming and maintaining appropriate relationships and personal boundaries with Young People and/or Vulnerable Adults
