Overview
As Infrastructure Architect (AWS) at MAG, you will shape MAG’s hybrid cloud and on‑prem infrastructure to support critical airport operations. You’ll bridge cloud platforms with on‑prem services, leading architectural decisions across security, resilience and cost in a regulated environment. You work with cross‑functional teams to deliver scalable, enterprise‑grade solutions that align with MAG’s strategic direction. This role blends cloud expertise with strong infrastructure fundamentals to enable both today’s operations and future innovation.
Responsibilities
- Design and own infrastructure architectures across AWS and MAG’s hybrid estate
- Translate business requirements into scalable, secure, cost-effective solutions
- Partner with engineering, product, project and operations teams to deliver outcomes
- Provide architectural leadership from concept to implementation
- Balance performance, resilience, governance and cost in decisions
- Contribute to platform roadmaps, standards and governance processes
- Review emerging technologies for platform strategy suitability
- Collaborate with suppliers to evaluate technologies and options
- Promote best practices across cloud, infrastructure and platform engineering disciplines
Key requirements
- Strong experience designing enterprise-scale infrastructure and cloud solutions
- Deep knowledge of AWS architecture and services
- Experience in hybrid environments integrating cloud with on-premises infrastructure
- Understanding of compute, networking, storage, security and resilience
- Experience creating architecture designs, roadmaps and standards
- Knowledge of infrastructure automation, DevOps and Infrastructure as Code
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- Experience in governance/regulatory environments and navigating competing priorities
