United St Saviour’s Charity supports the people and communities of Southwark.

Through our work, we help communities tackle social need by investing in exciting projects that offer both proven and innovative ways of solving problems.

We also provide exceptional housing for older people in our almshouses, creating strong and supportive communities in beautiful surroundings.

Our property portfolio is diverse and incorporates both an investment portfolio and residential almshouses accommodation.

Our investment portfolio is centred around the iconic Borough Market with assets including The Wheatsheaf and Market Porter pubs as well as retail and, office and residential properties.

Our almshouses provide 130 homes for older people, ranging from the 2025 Stirling Prize winning, Appleby Blue Almshouses, to Grade II* listed Hopton’s Almshouses, situated next to the Tate Modern.

We are planning to build many more within the next 5 years Reporting directly to the CEO, you will take ownership of all property matters including implementation of remedial works, refurbishments and upgrades, compliance, PPM delivery and identifying opportunities for decarbonisation across the estate.

Strong contractor management experience will also be essential in the role.

This is a unique opportunity to work as part of a small team for a highly ambitious charity and social housing provider, and to combine commercial property expertise with genuine social impact.

You will play a vital role in ensuring our residents live in safe, well-maintained homes while helping us protect and enhance our long-term property assets.
