Overview
In this role you will ensure statutory and mandatory building and engineering requirements are met across a complex healthcare estate. You will provide assurance for in-house teams and contracting partners to support safe, compliant estate operations. You will lead governance, auditing, inspections, risk management and regulatory readiness, identifying gaps and driving effective remedial action. You will build credibility with operational colleagues and key stakeholders to uphold safety, resilience and patient experience. Responsibilities
- Ensure adherence to statutory and mandatory building and engineering requirements across the estate
- Provide assurance over services delivered by in-house teams and contracting partners
- Lead governance, auditing, inspections, risk management, and compliance reporting
- Maintain regulatory readiness and escalate gaps or risks with recommendations for remediation
- Communicate complex technical matters clearly and build relationships with Responsible Persons, Authorising Engineers, contractors and senior stakeholders
Key requirements
- Experience in engineering compliance management within a complex healthcare, estates, facilities or infrastructure environment
- Strong understanding of statutory and regulatory requirements, health and safety legislation, best practice standards and Health Technical Memoranda
- Engineering background
- Knowledge of water safety (valuable)
- Ability to identify gaps, escalate concerns and support remedial action
